How to get rid of pimples
Pimples are white, red or black headed tiny patches of skin on the face, neck or shoulders. Pimples may cause mild pain, itching, irritation and may leave a scar once healed. Pimples are healed on their own with time. However, since pimples occur more frequently in teenage years, scaring of the face due to pimple popping is a major concern.

Pimples can occur to anybody; however the rate of occurrence is quite higher among the teenagers and youngsters. People with oily skin are also at higher risk of having pimples.

Pimples occur when hair follicles of the skin are clogged up or the sebaceous gland (secretes oil and waste) of skin is over active. Too much secretion of oil by sebaceous glands blocks the pores of the skin leading to dirt and bacterial build up under the skin resulting in pimples.

1-Wash your face regularly with mild or non drying face washOccasional use of scrubs will help to open the pores.
2-Do not pluck or pinch the pimple as it may get spread.
3- Use anti-acne creams to fasten the healing.
4- Anti-acne face washes are also available which can be used to prevent the recurrence of the problem.
When to consult a doctor?
If the above mentioned tips do not help in controlling the pimples, you must consult a skin specialist. Depending on the severity of the condition, doctor may prescribe you different kind of medicines. Less severe conditions will heal with the help of topical antibacterial or anti- fungal creams; whereas severe condition may require to take tablets or capsule containing hormonal medicine that will balance your hormone levels to reduce the severity of the disease. These medicines should be taken only under the guidance of the doctor.
